DPI stands for "Dots Per Inch" and it measures the resolution of an image. For prints, 300 DPI is the standard for a crisp image. To determine if your image meets the resolution requirements, you can multiply the print size (in inches) by 300. For example, for an 8"x10" print, your image should be at least 2400x3000 pixels (8 inches x 300 DPI = 2400 pixels, 10 inches x 300 DPI = 3000 pixels).

If your image is a photo you took or a scan of your artwork, please upload the most raw and high-quality version available. Avoid uploading images with heavy compression (e.g., low-quality JPEGs) Generally, files closer to 50-100 MB will provide the best print results, while smaller files (1-2 MB) might not have enough detail.

If your file's resolution is too low for printing high-quality printing, Lux Editions can use it's professional-grade upscaling software, combined with manual refinements, to enhance your image. This service will be charged as a separate order.

For text elements, ensure a resolution of at least 600 DPI to avoid pixelation. Avoid using text smaller than 10 points. If your design includes a border, make sure it's at least 1/4" wide to ensure it prints correctly. Add a 1/8" bleed area around your design to prevent white edges.
